2024 ACWA Clean Water Cross-Program Workshop: Presentations and Meeting Materials

The 2024 Clean Water Act Cross-Program Workshop took place on June 6-7, 2024, at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV. The theme for the 2025 Cross-Program Workshop was “Cross-Program Coordination to Implement Plans to Restore Water Quality,” with a goal of identifying cross-program strategies to better prioritize and implement water quality restoration projects.

The Workshop was held in conjunction with the Environmental Law Institute’s 2024 National Training Workshop on Water Quality Assessment and Plans. The Workshop brought together over 120 state, territorial, tribal, and federal clean water regulators to discuss challenges and successes with working across Clean Water Act programs. The Workshop Planning Committee selected Workshop sessions and presentations that focused on enhancing collaboration and coordination between the various programs. Additionally, Workshop session panelists and moderators provided additional geographic diversity to the sessions’ presentations and dialogues. 2024 Workshop sessions included:

• Cross-Program Coordination in Preventing and Addressing Water Temperature Impairments

• How CWA Programs Can More Effectively Work Together to Identify and Address Environmental Justice Issues
• Technical Tools and Resources for Successful Cross-Program Coordination to Restore Impaired Waters
