Environmental Statesman Award
This is the Organization’s highest award and shall be presented to those ACWA members who have demonstrated outstanding service to the organization over a multi-year period.
Nominees for this award are proposed by the Executive Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.

President’s Service Award
This Award shall be given annually to a member selected for their exceptional service to the Association over the last fiscal year.
Nominees for this award are selected by the President, in consultation with the Executive Committee, identifies the appropriate candidate(s) for this Award. No more than two President’s Service Awards will be presented annually.

The Environmental Partnership Award
This award will be presented by ACWA to those persons who have, throughout their careers, demonstrated a true and consistent willingness to work cooperatively with the States and with the various interested organizations to effect environmental improvement.
Nominations for the award are proposed by the Executive Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. This award is given more infrequently than the others. The award is framed and presented to the individual at their last ASIWPCA meeting or directly through their state office.

Exceptional Service Award
This award is given to select members of the Association where exceptional service to the Association has been exhibited and they retire from state/interstate government. These awards shall be presented as appropriate, rather than on regularized or annual basis. Wendell McCurry was a member of the Association for nearly two decades.
Nominations for the award are proposed by members of ACWA and selections will be made by the Executive Committee.

Emerging Leaders Award
This award was created in 2012, this award may be given up to two times annually to members selected by Association Leadership for their notable leadership or contributions to the work of an ACWA committee, task force and/or workgroup and their demonstrated potential for future leadership in ACWA.
