Water Infrastructure Improvement for the Nation Act: Summary and Relevant Sections

Posted: December 12, 2016

On December 10th, 2016, the Senate approved of the Water Infrastructure Improvement for the Nation Act (WIIN Act) by a count of 79 votes in favor and 21 votes against, and the bill is now headed to President Obama (a veto is not expected) for approval. The act, which contains the legislation formerly known as the Water Resources Development Act of 2016 (WRDA 2016) contains nearly $10 billion in water infrastructure funding, including aid for Flint, Michigan. The full text of the bill can be viewed here.

We have compiled areas of the bill relevant to states. For more information, contact ACWA staff Julian Gonzalez or Julia Anastasio.
