Best Practices for States Working with Urban Waters Pilot Programs

Posted: September 20, 2019

In cooperation with EPA’s Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP), ACWA has developed fact sheets on best practices for state involvement in the UWFP programs. Urban Waters Federal Partnerships are collaborations between federal agencies like EPA and local communities (local government and local NGOs) where all involved parties try to come up with a plan to improve water quality in urban communities that often have resources stretched thin. The goal of this project was to begin exploring what is the state government role in these partnerships, and how states could become more helpful.
