2020 National SNC NCI Symposium – Dallas, Texas

January 22, 2020 at 8:00 am – January 24, 2020 at 1:00 pm

Overview

The 2020 National SNC NCI Symposium will take place January 22-24, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. The goal of this meeting will be to help support states and EPA regions with their efforts to identify and implement activities and actions associated with reducing noncompliance, with particular emphasis on significant non-compliance (SNC). As most of you know, EPA is undertaking a new National Compliance Initiative with the goal of reducing the rate of SNC with an additional focus on identifying and addressing the worst SNC violators. Potential session topics at this meeting may include improving data quality, reducing DMR nonsubmittal, improved understanding of incomplete DMR data transfer, getting permit limits into ICIS, focusing in on small POTW challenges and opportunities for improvement, an overview of current resources available, identification of future training tools and needs, with a large portion of the presentations dedicated to highlighting state and regional SNC success stories.

Presentations

ACWA will be posting the meeting presentations as they become available. Please check this page.

Agenda

A copy of the final agenda can be found here.

Registration

Registration for this meeting is free but limited. Preference will be given to the first person from each state to register but we expect more than one state will wish to send multiple representatives. To ensure you have a seat, please register ASAP. On Jan 22, 23 and 24th, EPA will have a table set-up by 7:45 AM on the 5th floor at the conference facility and will be handing out name tags as meeting participants sign-in. EPA will also be on hand to answer questions you have regarding the agenda, bathrooms, meeting space, wifi, remote participation, and anything else related to the Symposium.

Security Access for Region 6 EPA

How to get to the 5th floor to check in – “Stacked” Elevators

The Renaissance building has stacked elevators.  Our security check-in is on the 5th floor (along with the conference rooms).  If you are going to an odd numbered floor you need to use the elevators at the lower level.  If you use the ground level ones, it may take longer to get to the 5th floor and you will feel like you are stuck in them and sometimes the button to an odd floor doesn’t even work.  Be patient if that happens.  Best choice is to go downstairs and get on the elevator from the lower level.

The entrance on the Pacific Ave side has stairs into the building (Starbucks is on that side).  If you need the handicap accessible areas, you can enter the building from the Elm Street side, without stairs.  The Elevator to the lower level is to the right of the escalators when you come in.
