SUMMARY:2026 Water Quality Modeling Workshop
DESCRIPTION:ACWA\, in partnership with USEPA\, will be holding the 2026 Water Quality Modeling Workshop in Atlanta\, GA. The 2026 Water Quality Modeling Workshop supports implementation of state programs by continuing to build a community of practice among state agency staff who use or want to use water quality modeling in state water quality programs. \n\n\n\nACWA and US EPA will be holding simultaneous modeling trainings the week of September 28th\, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Building in Atlanta\, GA. \n\n\n\nACWA’s Modeling Workshop will have 2 tracks to choose from\, a modelers forum\, which will feature case studies\, demos\, and group discussions\, as well as a HAWQS/SWAT+ hands on training. Each track will have a cap of 40 attendees. These trainings will run Tuesday September 29 – Thursday\, October 1.  \n\n\n\nView the draft agendas here. \n\n\n\nThe workshop will take place at the MLK Federal Building at 77 Forsyth St SW #500\, Atlanta\, GA 30303.  \n\n\n\nHotel Information \n\n\n\nA room block has been procured for attendees at the Origin Hotel below the local per diem rate. DESCRIPTION:Save the Date: This virtual workshop is currently scheduled to occur daily from 12:00pm – 5:00pm eastern. Details will be refined as the agenda further develops. Purpose: The 2026 National NPDES Program Efficiency Workshop supports implementation of EPA and state NPDES permitting programs nationwide by highlighting administrative efficiencies\, sharing best management practices\, showcasing innovative federal and state programs\, improving data quality\, highlighting new approaches and technologies\, facilitating coregulator collaborations and identifying challenges and barriers. Program areas to be considered for the workshop include jurisdictional determination\, permit application\, public process\, permit issuance\, monitoring and reporting\, data management\, compliance monitoring\, inspections\, violations and response\, enforcement\, and oversight.      \n\n\n\nAttendees: The 2026 National NPDES Program Efficiency Workshop is a virtual meeting intended to provide for comprehensive and diverse participation. SUMMARY:2027 Clean Water Cross-Program Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Save the Date for the upcoming 2027 CWA Cross-Program Workshop on January 20 & 21\, 2027 at EPA Headquarters in Washington\, D.C. The 2027 Workshop is the fourth annual Cross-Program Workshop held in cooperation with EPA. \n\n\n\nRegistration:  Registration will be available soon.  \n\n\n\nAgenda: Check back here for a draft agenda.   \n\n\n\nObjective: CWA Cross-Program Workshops are intended to bring together state\, territorial\, and federal CWA program administrators to discuss and share ways in which cross-program coordination and collaboration can be strengthened to more effectively and efficiently protect and restore our waters.  \n\n\n\nState\, territorial\, and federal clean water leaders will identify cross-program challenges and barriers to CWA implementation in the nutrients space; work toward solutions to cross cutting water quality topics; identify ways to improve technical capabilities; highlight opportunities for cross-program planning\, implementation\, and co-operation; and clarify linkages\, roles\, and responsibilities among CWA programs.  \n\n\n\nParticipants: The Workshop target audience will be state/territorial clean water regulators with practical experience and responsibilities in supporting and managing CWA Section 303(c)\, 303(d)\, and/or 402 programs\, as well as EPA representatives for each of the programs.
